The "Women and the Mine of the Future" baseline gender study was conducted in 12 countries and evaluated how the mining industry's development trends and supply chains affect women in the industry. This study, with the results published as a global report was carried out by the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF), International Women in Mining, International Labour Organization, German Agency for International Cooperation, and the Environmental Governance Programme run by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and United Nations Development Programme.
Mongolia has been included in this global report. The report was prepared by Mr. Batbold Otgonbayar, the CSS Chairman of the Board with the support of UNDP's Environmental Governance Program.
The report compiles the baseline gender data in Mongolia's mining industry for 10 years (2010-2020) which proves to be very valuable for researchers and policy-makers.
In addition to Mongolia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ghana, Zambia, Peru, Chile, South Africa, and Sweden are included in the above study.
