MNMA and CSS Signed Memorandum of Understanding
A new phase of cooperation focused on inclusive development in Mongolia's mining sector has begun. Today, the Mongolian National Mining Association (MNMA) and the “Council for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility” NGO (CSS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their cooperation.

During the signing ceremony, MNMA Executive Director G. Erdenetuya stated, “Responsible mining is not just about a company’s internal operations, but it is estimated by how it understands and cooperates with local communities. This collaboration is therefore an important step for us.”
O. Batbold, Chair of CSS’s Board of Directors, added, “Through joint efforts in research, training, advisory services, and public awareness activities, we will work to build trust.”
Under the agreement, the parties will:
•Organize meetings, events, and trainings for local governments, citizen groups, civil society, and companies
•Develop communication strategy models based on experience and research
•Implement pilot projects in selected provinces and local areas
•Jointly carry out outreach and advocacy activities to share best practices with the wider public
This collaboration seeks to support citizen participation, foster stable company-community relations, and contribute positively to local development.
